Jan Sebastian Nimczik is a PhD student in Economics at the University of Mannheim. He is interested in Labor Economics as well as Applied Econometrics, Public Economics, and Social Networks. Jan visited the Economics Department at UC Berkeley in Fall 2015 where he was hosted by David Card and the Center for Labor Economics. He studied Economics at the University Of Freiburg and spend a year abroad at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2010/11. Besides, Jan is also an active musician who studied French Horn and Music Theory at Musikhochschule Freiburg and Sibelius Academy Helsinki.
