Aleksandar Blecic

Aleksandar Blecic

Aleksandar Blečić was born in 1991 in Podgorica, Montenegro, at that time part of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. In 2014, he earned a Bachelor's degree from the Faculty of Economics at the University of Montenegro in his hometown, with the major during the final year of undergraduate studies in International Business. Aleksandar spent one semester in Greece as an exchange student at the Alexander Technological Educational Institute in Thessaloniki, which marked his first longer stay abroad. After his undergraduate studies, he worked as an intern and subsequently a researcher and project assistant for a local consultancy. In May 2019, he obtained his Master's degree in Management at the University of Mannheim. Throughout his Master studies, Aleksandar focused mainly on Marketing. From September 2019, he follows the Marketing track at the Center for Doctoral Studies in Busines.

Why I chose the University of Mannheim and in particular the GESS

One of the main reasons behind my decision to apply for the GESS was the anticipation that this doctoral program will provide me with the skillset necessary to conduct independent research projects in the area of marketing in the future. I base this belief mostly on the top-quality teaching I have had the opportunity to experience during my Master's program, but also on the global recognition and international focus of the University of Mannheim. I am confident that this program represents the ideal chance to pursue a carreer in research.
