Why I chose the University of Mannheim and in particular the GESS
I was initially attracted by the University of Mannheim because of its top reputation in Germany and worldwide. After my Master, I decided to stay here for my PhD studies because now I know it deserves the great reputation it holds. Especially in the field of taxation, it offers an excellent research environment. I chose in particular the GESS program due to all the opportunities available within this program, which are not limited to extensive course offers and interesting seminars but include also a stimulating network of researchers from all over the world.
