I was born in 1992 in Liaoning, China. During my bachelor study in Beijing, I gained the professional certification from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). Besides, I did various internship at KCS Management & Consultancy, KPMG, China National Petroleum Corp. and Siemens. After my graduation, I worked at Siemens as a commercial trainee. I rotated in different positions, during which time I was able to see how the business works in such a multinational company– from purchasing to manufacturing, from sales to controlling. I’m currently enrolled in the Master in Management at the University of Mannheim and participate in the Business Research Program in Finance at the Center for Doctoral Studies in Business (CDSB) at the University of Mannheim Graduate School of Economic and Social Sciences (GESS).

Why I chose the University of Mannheim and in particular the GESS
To begin with, the course design of this program is rigorous. I believe I can gain enough analytical and theoretical skills for the future research work by attending courses of Mathematics, Microeconomics and Econometrics. In addition, courses representing the major sub-fields of finance such as Behavioral Finance and Continuous-Time Finance would definitely provide me a deeper view in the finance area. Moreover, the finance research seminar series available would give me an access to the forefront of the international academic fields. In addition to the academic design of the program, my affection for the University of Mannheim also made me determined to spend more time studying here. The most important thing is that I’ve been enjoying lectures, seminars as well as the connections with professors, tutors and friends in Mannheim since the first day I came here.
