Alexander studied Economics at the University of Cologne. During his studies, he spent one semester at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada, and attended the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He received a Bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Cologne in 2013 and a Master’s degree in 2016. At the University of Cologne, he gave tutorials in microeconomics and worked as a student assistant at the Center for Macroeconomic Research. Alexander completed internships in consulting and transaction advisory. His main research interests are in macroeconomics, especially business cycles and inequality. In his free time Alexander likes meeting friends, doing sports, and travelling.
