Economics

Claudio was born in Stuttgart, Germany in 1990. He grew up near Freiburg where he currently lives. After high school, he supported a young man in an independent living project in Southampton, UK. Claudio holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Industrial Engineering from the University of Karlsruhe where he worked as tutor for several courses during his studies. He also has some experience working in the private sector. His Bachelor’s thesis reviewed theory and empirics of regret and disappointment in decisions under risk. Spending his second year at the University of Yale has further strengthened his interest in decision theory. Currently, he is looking at how making plans can help exert self-control over inconsistent future tastes. Not least, he is intrigued by financial markets, in particular the role of debt and leverage. Beyond academics he is passionate for cycling and philosophy.
