Ekaterina Kazakova was born in Moscow in 1991. In 2012 she graduated from Lomonosov Moscow State University with the Bachelor's degree in Economics with the diploma with honors. The exchange program in University of Hannover (Germany) highly influenced her research interests. Ekaterina’s Bachelor thesis was devoted to the possibility of expanding of the application area of the Monte Carlo method for the analysis of vulnerability of economic processes. During her Bachelor studies Ekaterina developed her own course of advanced elementary mathematics in free Economic-Mathematical School for Economics Faculty entrances. In 2013 she was awarded with a DAAD scholarship. Master in Economic Research program allowed Ekaterina to enter the CDSE on the second semester of her master studies. Currently Ekaterina’s main research area is International Trade and Empirical Industrial Organization. During her leisure time, she enjoys travelling and volleyball.
