Francisco was born in 1993 in Porto. He received the Bachelor degree in Economics at the Faculty of Economics and Management of the University of Porto in 2014 and the Master degree in Economics at the University of Bonn.  During his bachelor studies, Francisco attended a summer school in Madrid. During the Master program he worked as a research assistant for Professor Moritz Schularick. In his master thesis he constructed a long-run house price index for Spain.  After completing the master program Francisco worked for one year as a Pre-Doctoral Researcher at the Macro-history Lab at Bonn University.  

His main research interests are the linkages between asset prices and financial stability over the long-run.
