Raphael was born in Bonn, Germany, in 1992. He studied Economics at the University of Mannheim, including a one semester visit at the National University of Singapore, and graduated in 2015 with a Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.). After he had returned from his semester abroad, he started to work as research assistant in the field of Environmental Economics at the Centre of European Economic Research, where he obtained valuable insights into economic research. His fields of interest are widespread, including Environmental and Development Economics, as well as Microeconomics. In his free time he enjoys doing sports, reading, thinking about critical questions, especially in the context of environmental issues, and spending time with family and friends.
