Brittney Bolin

Social Sciences

Brittney Bolin is a PhD student in political science at the Graduate School of Economic and Social Sciences. She completed her master’s degree in political science at the University of Mannheim, with time spent abroad at Sciences Po Paris and the London School of Economics. She earned her bachelor’s degree in international affairs at The George Washington University, including a semester of study in Vienna. Her professional background is in diplomacy, and she has worked in diplomatic capacities in Washington, DC and Berlin.

Research interests:

Her research interests include international and comparative political economy, international relations, public economics, and quantitative methods.

Why I chose the University of Mannheim and in particular the GESS:

Due to the excellent reputation of the University of Mannheim and the unique structure of the Graduate School. The interdisciplinary nature of the GESS provides an ideal environment for doctoral studies, particularly since my research covers both political and economic topics.
