Malte Zimdahl was born in Aachen, Germany, and started studying psychology at the University of Mannheim in 2011. His studies include a semester abroad in Bergen, Norway, and he holds a Master’s degree in cognitive and clinical psychology. His interest in meta-cognition was fostered during a research internship with Dr. Monika Undorf at the chair of Prof. Dr. Edgar Erdfelder in 2014. In his Master’s thesis, he investigated the influence of perceptual fluency on meta-cognitive judgments.

Research interests:

He is especially interested in meta-cognitive illusions and investigates underlying cognitive factors of meta-cognitive judgments.
