Philipp Schütze was born 1980 in Mannheim, Germany. He studied Sociology at the University of Mannheim until 2010. In his M.A. thesis, Philipp explored the effect of maternal employment on children's secondary education. Between 2010 and 2012 he worked for the German Family Panel pairfam (Panel Analysis of Intimate Relationships and Family Dynamics) in the section "Survey Methodology". Since 2011 he is employed as a research and teaching assistant at the chair of Methods of Empirical Social Research, hold by Prof. Gautschi, Ph.D at the University of Mannheim. His current research is concerned with Dynamic Network Analysis.
