Steffen Zittlau is a PhD candidate at the CDSS and works for the German team of the international research project Making Electoral Democracy Work at the Mannheim Center for European Social Research (MZES). Steffen studied Political Science at the Universities of Konstanz and Mannheim. In his 2012 Master thesis he evaluated the relative saliency of ideological positions towards European integration in the voting rationale of German voters across different electoral arenas.
