8th GESS Research Day on September 28, 2017

The student representatives of the CDSE, CDSS and CDSB are extraordinarily pleased to announce the 8th GESS Research Day, which will take place on September 28, 2017, from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm.

The day is designed to provide an "institutionalized" platform to exchange thoughts and ideas on interdisciplinary topics in a casual and informal environment. The goal is to kick off stronger collaboration between the different Centers, but also to see just what fellow PhD students at the other Centers are currently working on.

This research day offers the great opportunity to present ongoing research to an interested and interdisciplinary audience. Please note that it is not necessary to have a polished paper ready for presentation. Feel free to present first thoughts on any research topic chosen by you.

Given the positive experience of the previous GESS Research Day, we again want to provide you the opportunity to either present advanced research drafts within the Paper Sessions or early research ideas, side projects or preliminary paper drafts in the Pecha Kucha Sessions. You can get an idea about what the format looks like under this link:
www.pechakucha.org/watch

You are free to choose your presentation format according to your preferences and status of the project. We will provide room for both the traditional presentation format of about 20 minutes plus discussion as well as the new Pecha Kucha format.

Detailed information on the specific program will follow in September. The event will take place in the Castle, Room SO 418.

Best Regards, Sabine Bernard and Annika Havlik (CDSB), Yasemin Ă–zdemir (CDSE), and Konstantin Gavras (CDSS)
